The Corporate Support Group provides essential services that support and
sustain the operations of the organisation, in terms of overall staff development
and well-being, as well as staffing requirements. It ensures the efficiency
and effectiveness of internal systems and operations, and comprises of
the Human Resource Department, Information Technology Department,
Finance Department and Corporate Services Department.
During the year,the Group undertook several major projects and reviews.
These included implementing a new Human Resource Information System
(HRIS), strengthening training and career evelopment frameworks, and
putting in place an enhanced Information Technology (IT) system to position MAS
as a knowledge-based organisation.
Space re-planning and renovation works to the MAS Building are well underway.
This will create a more conducive work environment and increase the efficient
usage of space given the expanded staff strength. A new fitness centre and
gymnasium were opened. Renovations will be fully completed by mid-2002.
Besides the in-house renovation, the Corporate Services Department will
also oversee the design and construction of the new IMF-Singapore Training
Institute Building at the Heng Mui Keng complex.
