Key initiatives include:

Upgrading system software and
evaluating and implementing newer technologies to strengthen
our IT infrastructure.
•
Implementing Virtual Local
Area Networks, a network technology to optimise network
performance, ease data management and increase security
of the network infrastructure. Email and web content filtering
was also put in place.
•
Adopting a proactive approach
to conduct security reviews of all IT systems, along with
establishing an incident management framework that efficiently
deploys security patches in a timely manner.
•
Implementing a pilot knowledge
management portal which will provide staff with easy access
to information and expertise.
