Performance and Growth FINANCIAL MARKET ACTIVITY Further Banking Liberalisation MAS introduced further liberalisation measures in June 2004. Qualifying Full Banks were allowed to establish up to 25 service locations from January 2005. We also announced that we were prepared to grant a limited number of new Wholesale Bank licenses to applicants that meet our admission requirements. MAS will continue to monitor the developments in the domestic banking sector before considering further liberalisation measures.
