We worked with the relevant government agencies to facilitate the entry of foreign professionals seeking employment in the financial sector, and foreign investors exploring business opportunities here. We also profiled Singapore to overseas financial institutions as the ideal destination to work, live and play. Singapore was declared the best place to live in Asia by The Economist’s “World in 2005” publication and was named the most attractive Asian economy to foreign high-skilled professionals in the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook 2004.
