MAS conducted various crisis management exercises to test our decision-making, communication an
d coordination processes.
The Mobilisation Exercise is a regular exercise to familiarise staff and key personnel with evacuation, activation & notification, transportation and recovery procedures. It also allows MAS to validate its infrastructure setup at alternate locations.
The Flu Pandemic Exercise was a ground deployment exercise to validate MAS’ operational response plans for flu pandemic and to test MAS’ infrastructure capabilities during a pandemic outbreak. The exercise simulated the onset of a flu pandemic in Singapore and its escalation from Ministry of Health’s Disease Outbreak Response System Condition alert level from Green to Black. An issue-based Table-Top Exercise, with the objective of stress-testing MAS’ Flu Pandemic plan, will be organised in the later part of the year.
