Attracting Financial Talent
Even as we train our existing workforce and groom local talent, MAS is also working at attracting overseas financial talent to augment the talent pool and provide a good mix of skills and experience. In 2006 and 2007, MAS, Contact Singapore and a number of industry players took part in overseas outreach programmes in key cities in the US, UK and Australia. The events sparked keen interest from students and working professionals in exploring the diverse opportunities available in Singapore’s financial centre.

To complement the local and overseas outreach efforts, MAS supported the launch of IBF’s FinanceConnectSingapore (FCS) website in September 2006. FCS profiles Singapore’s financial sector, provides information on career opportunities, showcases training and development opportunities, and promotes Singapore as an excellent location to work, learn, live and play.
