In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Securities and Futures Act 2001, the Deputy Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, hereby makes the following Notification:

1. This Notification may be cited as the Securities and Futures Act (Commencement) Notification 2002.

2. The following provisions of the Securities and Futures Act 2001 shall come into operation on 1st July 2002:

Parts XIII and XIV, and items (1) (a), (3) (a), (4) (a) (i), (iii) to (ix), (b), (c), (f), (g), (h), (i), (l), (m), (t) and (u), (7) (b), (12) and (13) of the Fourth Schedule.
