  MAS' latest publication "Asian Financial and Monetary Integration - Challenges and Prospects" was inspired by a series of speeches and discussions on the theme of Asian financial and monetary integration at the 2006 IMF-World Bank meetings held in Singapore.

  This publication contains a speech by Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Singapore’s Minister for Finance and Minister for Education, originally delivered as the Per Jacobsson Lecture at the 2006 IMF-World Bank meetings. It also includes contributions by Professor Barry Eichengreen and Professor Andrew Rose, a chapter based on a discussion among senior policymakers at the Programme of Seminars during the 2006 IMF-World Bank meetings, and some background research by MAS economists.
