New 8-week MAS Bill

1          On 21 July 2011, MAS announced that we are looking to issue more MAS Bills and in longer tenors. 

2          We will commence issuing 8-week MAS Bills on 2 August 2011, in addition to the current 4-week MAS Bills.  The auction will be on 1 August 2011.  We will publish the issuance calendar and size of the first 8-week MAS Bill on this website on 29 July 2011.

3          The additional MAS Bills will add to the availability of high quality liquid assets for financial institutions and support the adoption of higher liquidity requirements under Basel III.
