MAS Survey of Professional Forecasters

The MAS Survey of Professional Forecasters provides a summary of forecasts of Singapore's key economic indicators by economists and analysts. The survey is conducted quarterly following the release of economic data for the previous quarter by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

FX Settlement Risk Practices

In July 2001, MAS published a report, Foreign Exchange Settlement Risk Practices in Singapore (PDF, 166KB), based on the results of a survey of 39 banks in the Singapore foreign exchange market whose foreign exchange activities in total accounted for more than 90% of Singapore's total foreign exchange transactions in 1999.

Based on each EMEAP¹ member's FXSR survey results, the EMEAP Working Group on Payment and Settlement Systems published a report, Foreign Exchange Settlement Risk in the East Asia-Pacific Region (PDF, 256KB), in December 2001 to analyse the scale of foreign exchange settlement risk in the EMEAP region.
