In exercise of the powers conferred by section 342(4) and (5) of the Securities and Futures Act 2001, the Deputy Prime Minister, BG (NS) Lee Hsien Loong, hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation

1.  This Notification may be cited as the Securities and Futures (Repeal) Notification 2001.

Repeal

2. -(1)  Section 14 of the Securities Industry Act (Cap. 289) is repealed, with effect from 1st January 2002.

(2)  Sections 213 and 214 of and the Tenth Schedule to the Companies Act (Cap. 50) are repealed, with effect from 1st January 2002.
