  • Report of the Financial Stability Forum on Enhancing Markets and Institutional Resilience
    The Financial Stability Forum (FSF) has presented to the G7 Finance Ministers and central bank Governors a report making recommendations for enhancing the resilience of markets and financial institutions. The recommended actions are in five areas:

    - Strengthened prudential oversight of capital, liquidity and risk management
    - Enhancing transparency and valuation
    - Changes in the role and uses of credit ratings
    - Strengthening the authorities’ responsiveness to risks
    - Robust arrangements for dealing with stress in the financial system

  • World Bank Survey of Bank Regulation and Supervision
    A Cross-country survey of how banks in 151 countries, including Singapore, are regulated and supervised. Survey includes questions of requirements and regulatory powers on bank entry, ownership, capital, powers and activities, auditing, organisation, liquidity, provisioning, accounting and disclosure, incentives for supervisors, deposit insurance, and disciplining powers including bank exit.

  • Regulatory and Business Environment for Risk Management in the Banking Sectors: Report of a Survey of the APEC Economies
    2003 survey (PDF, 505KB) by the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) Finance Forum and the Asian Bankers' Association, of risk management practices of banks across the APEC region, including Singapore.

  • Financial System Stability Assessment
    The Financial System Stability Assessment (PDF, 652 KB) report is based on the work of three Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP) missions that visited Singapore in November 2002, July–August 2003, and September 2003. The FSAP findings were discussed further with the authorities during the Article IV consultation mission in December 2003.
