Description of Project

Outreach and engagement is a critical aspect of the shift towards a more sustainable future. As a Media and Communications Intern in the Sustainability Office, you will support the Sustainability Office in their public communications efforts. 

For example, you will: 

  • Support the digital delivery of MAS’s Sustainability Report 
  • Play an integral role in a website revamp to provide greater information on our sustainability efforts to our stakeholders (public, financial institutions, students, researchers, etc)
  • Other ad-hoc media and communications projects
Expected deliverables for the project
  • Work with various MAS departments to understand their sustainability initiative
  • Be the digital content champion – design, create and update pages on the MAS Website to communicate information about MAS’s sustainability efforts
Experience and/or skills that the intern(s) may gain from the internship

You will gain experience and skills in: 

  • Sustainability and sustainable finance
  • Communications, outreach and engagement
  • Web content management and UI/UX design 
Pre-requisites preferred from the intern(s)
  • Experience in web content management will be an advantage, but is not required
  • Good writing and editing skills in English
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work on fast-paced, time-constrained project teams
  • Resourceful, adaptable and results-oriented with positive attitude

Content Design across MAS Website

Preferred internship window  Summer Internship: May to August 2022 
Description of Project 1. As part of MAS Digital Transformation efforts, you will be responsible to support the overall content strategy on MAS Website.
2. You will work with the MAS Website product team in the development and amplification of new digital content, derived through data demands.
3. Your responsibilities include graphic design, photography, copywriting, performance tracking and development of new content to drive online engagement.
Expected deliverables for the project Collaborate with stakeholders to design and create different forms of content assets for MAS Website and marketing collaterals for internal stakeholders engagement.
Experience and/or skills that the intern(s) may gain from the internship  Exposure to content development and marketing for public consumption and understanding towards MAS operations as the financial regulator. You will also develop skills on user research, data analysis and have ample of opportunities to curate and pitch ideas to stakeholders as well as to co-drive the content assets strategy for MAS Website.

MAS Internal Communications
Department Organisation Development and Communications Department (ODC)
Preferred internship window  May to Jul 2022 / 10 to 12 weeks
Description of Project 1. In support of MAS’ ongoing transformation efforts, we are looking for individuals to be part of the change management & internal comms team.
2. You will work with stakeholders to develop, run and measure internal communications campaigns in support of various change initiatives happening across the organisation. Some of these activities include developing communications collateral such as articles, infographics, videos, or conducting small focus group discussions to gather feedback and views with regard to change communications.
3. You may also be asked to support the team in running change management initiatives in support of the organisation transformation efforts.
Expected deliverables for the project Internal communications messages and collaterals (e.g. videos, fliers, articles)

Developing e-learning training materials and multimedia promotional collaterals for MAS Academy technical cooperation programmes
Department MAS Academy
Preferred internship window  April (ideal) / May to August 2022 
Description of Project Intern will help to increase the profile and presence of MAS’ training to counterparts to the region by enhancing and improving the quality of our training materials.
Expected deliverables for the project 1. Create at least one short promotional video to profile MAS Academy training programmes to external counterparts
2. Develop at least one e-learning module from existing training materials
3. Develop promotional collaterals for the regional training programmes
Experience and/or skills that the intern(s) may gain from the internship  1. Gain practical understanding of MAS’ operational work via access to MAS’ training programmes
2. Opportunity to network with other central banks and financial regulators attending MAS’ training programmes
3. Gain experience with practical application of design skills to develop marketing collaterals for MAS training programmes
4. Learn how to use EduTech tools to improve learning experience for adult learners
Pre-requisites preferred from the intern(s)  2nd or 3th year in any discipline. Interest in design and elearning.
