Mr Dominique Strauss-Kahn, International Monetary Fund to Deliver MAS Lecture

 

Singapore, 12 November 2009...Mr Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, will deliver the MAS Lecture on Friday, 13 November 2009 at the Grand Ballroom, Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore. The topic of Mr Strauss-Kahn’s lecture is "A leadership role for Asia in reshaping the post-crisis global economy".

Participants attending the Lecture include central bank governors, finance ministers, senior executives from financial institutions based in Singapore and Asia, as well as officials from the public sector.

The Lecture, first held in 2000, provides a platform for a distinguished member of the international financial community to speak on issues of current interest. Previous speakers included Mr Robert Rubin, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Citigroup Inc and former US Treasury Secretary, Mr William McDonough, former President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Sir Howard Davis, former Executive Chairman of UK Financial Services Authority, Mr Jean-Claude Trichet, President of the European Central Bank, and Mr Toshihiko Fukui, Governor of the Bank of Japan.
