MAS Launches the 2012 Giant Panda Commemorative Coins
Singapore, 6 September 2012… The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today launched the 2012 Giant Panda Commemorative Coins. These coins, which will be issued today, mark the arrival of two giant pandas – Kai Kai and Jia Jia , in Singapore. The coins also help highlight the threat of extinction faced by giant pandas today and the importance of wildlife conservation.
