Singapore, 18 November 2025…The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today unveiled the 2026 Year of the Horse Almanac coins, the tenth issue in the Singapore Fourth Chinese Almanac Coin SeriesThe Series was launched in 2017 and a new coin is issued each year over a span of 12 years until 2028. Each year’s issue depicts a zodiac animal in a park or natural landscape setting in Singapore.. The coins, which are legal tender at face valueThere is no guarantee that the coins will appreciate in value over time or can be sold at their purchase price in the secondary market. Nevertheless, the coins can be redeemed at their face value when deposited with the banks or MAS., will be available for pre-orders from 18 November 2025, and public purchase from 1 January 2026.
2026 Year of the Horse Coins
2 The 2026 coins feature the Horse, an animal in the Chinese zodiac cycle, set against the backdrop of Punggol Waterway Park, one of four parks linked by the North Eastern Riverine Loop. The front of each coin bears the Singapore Coat of Arms with the year 2026.
3 The coins will be available in 10 variations, comprising different face values, shapes, metallic compositions and minting relief effects. Special premium coin sets with various coin combinations will also be available for purchase. More details can be found in the Annex.
