Question
Mr Patrick Tay Teck Guan: To ask the Prime Minister and Minister for Finance (a) since the launch of the International Postings Programme in 2016, what is the number of Singaporeans who have benefitted from overseas postings under the programme on an annual basis; and (b) what is the breakdown of such postings by gender, country of posting, duration of posting, and age of participant at the time of posting.
Answer by Mr Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Trade and Industry (Trade), and Chairman of MAS:
1. Since its launch, the International Postings Programme (iPOST) has benefited more than 400 Singaporean financial sector professionals. iPOST supports postings of up to three years. Two-thirds of the supported postings were more than a year long, while the remainder of postings ranged from six months to a year. 70% of the postings were to Asia. Data on gender and age is not collected as part of iPOST applications.
