Fit-for-Gifting currency notes (Fit notes) and e-hong baos during Lunar New Year (LNY)

MAS continued its multi-year effort to encourage members of the public to use Fit notes or e-hong baos during LNY in support of a greener future. For LNY 2024, MAS made a bigger push to raise public awareness of the environmental benefits of using Fit notes by increasing visibility through media channels such as digital display panels and social media. MAS also worked with the banks to make Fit notes more accessible. In 2024, about 11.7 million pieces of Fit notes were exchanged, or an increase of 5% compared to 2023.
