On 17 Dec 2020, Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing and Minister for Manpower Josephine Teo visited UOB, to understand how the bank has been supporting its employees and trainees in skills upgrading for new roles in the sector.
During the visit, Minister Chan, Minister Teo and Ms Thong Leng Yeng, Executive Director of the Financial Centre Development Department of MAS, hosted a virtual press conference. They shared about how financial services will continue to transform and efforts by tripartite partners to support our local workforce in reskilling and acquiring new capabilities to meet the evolving talent needs of the industry.
In conjunction with the visit, the Ministry of Manpower released the 16th edition of the Jobs Situation Report on the jobs and skills opportunities under the SGUnited Jobs and Skills Package, with a focus on the financial services sector.
