The inaugural Growing Timber webinar featured discussions on the employment outlook of the financial services sector, and how MAS and the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) will work with stakeholders to support Singaporeans in accessing job opportunities, and to foster job readiness and job retention in the sector. At the event, MAS and IBF also announced additional measures to strengthen capability building of the local workforce:
- A new Work-Study Support Programme (WSSP) to build a strong Singaporean pipeline through integrating classroom learning and on-the-job training for undergraduates; and
- The extension of MAS' Training Allowance Grant (TAG) for company-sponsored trainees and IBF’s 5% additional course fee credit by 6 months, from 31 December 2020 to 30 June 2021.
