24th ASEAN Insurance Regulators’ Meeting (AIRM)
27 - 28 October 2021
MAS chaired the 24th AIRM discussions, where sustainable finance featured prominently. This reflected the call from ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors for greater cohesiveness in developing the sustainable finance agenda across the ASEAN financial services workstreams. Other topics covered during the virtual meeting included deployment of digital initiatives in ASEAN’s insurance sectors, and revisions to regulations to enable insurance business to thrive in a digitalised post-pandemic world.
