MoneySense campaign to empower Singaporeans with knowledge and skills on financial and retirement planning

MoneySense launched a publicity campaign which aimed to empower Singaporeans with knowledge and know-how to take charge of their financial well-being and plan for their retirement. The campaign comprised in-person and mass media education programmes, as well as complimentary services and tools to aid in financial planning.

MoneySense continued to support the International Organization of Securities Commissions’ World Investor Week

MAS organised the sixth edition of IOSCO’s World Investor Week (WIW) in 2022. The WIW is a global campaign to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and protection. WIW 2022 was held in conjunction with MoneySense’s “My Money” series and comprised a townhall session, webinar and seminar to target different demographics. Topics discussed included money management, insurance, retirement planning and building resilient investment portfolios in a rising interest rate environment. Investment information on common asset classes and sustainable investing were also featured. 

Revised Residential Property Loans Fact Sheet

14 December 2022

MAS revised the Residential Property Loans Fact Sheet template that financial institutions were required to use to provide borrowers with information on their property loans. MAS also amended requirements to facilitate the process of obtaining digital acknowledgements from borrowers on the Fact Sheet. The revisions aim to help borrowers make informed borrowing decisions, by enhancing their understanding of the terms of their property loans.
