Artemis Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) Asia Conference

At the 5th Artemis ILS Asia Conference in Singapore, MAS Executive Director (Financial Markets Development Department) Mr Lim Cheng Khai shared on MAS efforts in three areas to support the development of a vibrant ILS market in Asia: (i) building high-quality data on key perils facing Asian markets, (ii) growing the ILS investor base in Asia through investor education, and (iii) supporting the establishment of ILS structuring capabilities and ILS issuances in Singapore.

At the SuperReturn Asia Conference, MAS Chief Sustainability Officer and Assistant Managing Director, Ms Gillian Tan highlighted the opportunities for private market managers to finance Asia’s transition to Net-Zero. She also outlined the steps that MAS had undertaken to develop Singapore as a full-service private markets hub in Asia.
