Media Conference
At the media conference, MAS Managing Director Mr Chia Der Jiun spoke on key areas across central banking, financial sector development and regulation. He spoke on MAS’ careful monetary policy approach amidst an uncertain global environment, and the resilience of the financial system despite heightened volatility. He shared about broad-based growth across Singapore’s financial sector, and updated on MAS’ initiatives to strengthen capabilities in digital resilience and security, AI and sustainability, as well as on-going efforts with the government and industry to bolster our defences against scams. In particular, he announced the successful completion of MAS’ Quantum Key Distribution sandbox and a new AI initiative called PathFin.ai to support financial institutions in their AI adoption journeys.
