At the closing of the Global-Asia Insurance Partnership (GAIP) Summit 2025 and opening of Geneva Association’s Programme on Regulation and Supervision (PROGRES) Seminar, Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of National Development & Ministry of Trade and Industry, and MAS Board Member, highlighted the need for innovation and collaboration to close protection gaps and promote inclusive insurance, in the face of three emerging trends and threats in the world - the demographics of ageing; climate change; and macroeconomic uncertainties in the global world order.
