MAS’ Organisational Transformation
AI Strategy
MAS established an executive-level AI committee to oversee the responsible development and adoption of AI within MAS, supported by an AI Office that drives MAS’ AI strategy and works with business departments to harness AI.
A key priority is equipping all staff to harness AI effectively through access to a range of AI tools, a central hub that promotes the discovery and reuse of AI solutions, and structured training and peer-learning initiatives.
MAS is also exploring integrating higher-impact AI applications with domain expertise and data, and advancing AI adoption in tech areas such as software development.
Supporting Professional Development for Staff
MAS continued to update functional competency frameworks to identify key competencies relevant for different functional roles and seniority levels, supporting staff’s professional development in a more structured manner. Functional competency frameworks have been refreshed for close to 50% of staff.
MAS has also extended its mentoring programme to all staff in 2025. More than 500 staff have benefited from this programme to date.
Since January 2026, MAS co-sponsors professional membership fees to support staff in staying current with professional standards and connected to professional networks.
As at 30 September 2025, MAS staff strength stood at 1,816 (excluding staff being seconded out, temporary staff and interns).
